S-Parameter functions

Saving and loading S-parameter data

When you have run long frequency domain simulations, it can be convenient to save the resulting S-parameter data to a file, so that the data can be loaded and processed later without having to rerun the simulation.

This can be done easily using the joblib package shipped with IPKISS.

Use joblib.dump to save the smatrix to a file. File compression will automatically be applied if you specify a file extension for a compressed file format:

  • .z for zlib
  • .bz2 for bzip2
  • .gz for gzip
joblib.dump(s_matrix, "my_smatrix.z")

Use joblib.load to load the data from file.

s_matrix=joblib.load("my_smatrix.z")
